Jim’s first exposure to art was through art teacher Donald Koch of northern New Jersey and later studied design at the New York City School of Design in Greenwich Village under German born designer Helmer Oliver.
Painting on and off for many years Jim became a sought after floral designer in Connecticut , New York, and New Jersey . Upon moving to Central Florida Jim became a designer for the Walt Disney Co. Jim has also spent over 30 years designing for the Pageantry Arts activity for groups from coast to coast. A cancer survivor of 6 years Jim says it brought him back to his first passion which is art.
Mostly painting in oils and acrylics Jim has focused on mostly abstract impressionism but does not limit himself. “ I paint how I feel, what I see, what I would like others to see” , says Jim “Painting takes me to places I’ve gone and places yet to explore”
